Precautions

Always flush and disable any caching plugins you might be using, before installing a new plugin.

Installation

CAOS can easily be installed directly from the WordPress.org repository.

From your WordPress administrator area, go to Plugins > Add New. The Add Plugins screen will appear.

In the search bar, enter ‘CAOS’ and wait for the results to be fetched.

After installing CAOS, a minimal amount of configuration is required to make it run.

Configuration

To configure CAOS, go to Settings > Optimize Google Analytics. This will open the Basic Settings screen.

  1. Enter your Google Analytics Tracking ID.
  2. Configure when to Allow tracking….
  3. Choose a Snippet Type,
  4. Set the position of the tracking code.

That’s it! CAOS is now connected to Google Analytics. For a more comprehensive explanation on each of these (and the other) settings, continue to the User Manual.
